PRIMARY PURPOSE: Each summer, Coach offers a paid Internship
Program in our New York City corporate headquarters. The program
provides interns the opportunity to develop critical skill sets
and gain hands-on experience in a fast paced environment while
contributing to the performance of a high performing luxury
accessories brand.

We will be offering internships in summer 2011 from June through
August for current Bachelor's Degree students across a variety of
functions.

Internships consist of day-to-day work within the intern’s
specific department, as well as learning sessions with top
executives across the organization. Each intern works closely
with a mentor who gives guidance and enhances the learning
experience through feedback and coaching, and interns also attend
social events where they have the opportunity to network with
other interns and Coach employees.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

You will partner with the design team to learn all aspects of the
design process, including assistance with design cards,
presentation boards, meeting preparation, and sample management.
You will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you
will collaborate with talented designers as well as partners in
the business. You will have ownership over:


    * Maintaining and tracking designs in our Product Lifecycle
Management system
    * Creating design flats and renderings using Adobe Illustrator
    * Partnering with produce development in tracking samples
    * Coordinating raw materials (leather, fabric, hardware) for
sample development
    * Completing hardware cards and color palettes for the design
review process
    * Organizing the design room and boards for presentation


QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED...


    * Candidates should be pursuing or recent graduates of a
fashion/accessories design degree
    * Prior brand related internship experience
    * Advanced proficiency and experience using Adobe Illustrator
and Photoshop.
    * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the
ability to interact with a diverse group at all levels
    * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
and follow-through
    * Proven ability to sketch and spec
    * Ability to work full-time, five days a week

• Researching at libraries for inspiration/silhouette

• Flatting and sketching

• Updating design boards

• Initial entry of styles in to web PDM

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior brand related internship experience is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION: 

• Enrolled in an Associate’s/ Bachelor’s/ Master’s 
   program at an accredited college or university with a major 
   in fashion design 

• 18 years or older

• Able to provide proof of credit or a letter of support to 
   receive academic credit from your college or university 
   prior to starting assignment (this is an unpaid internship, 
   Kellwood will only support an intern on school credit)

• Computer skills to include Word, Excel and email

• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem solving 
   skills 

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills 

• A positive, outgoing, high energy personality that is 
   entrepreneurial 

• A multi-tasker, proactively seeks out opportunities to

Doo.Ri is looking for a highly motivated intern to assist the
design team for our SS 2012 season. 


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Research development including sourcing for trims,

- Assisting in sample development - pattern work, sewing, flat

- developing embroideries and appliqués  

- assisting in print work

Marketing Intern (The Luxnet)


THE COMPANY

Luxnet in a NYC based start-up that sells high-end fashion 
goods (such as Lanvin, YSL, Zac Posen, Proenza Schouler) into 
the Brazilian market through an online site. 

We will sell handbags, shoes, clothing and accessories to women 
between the ages of 18-30 with a value proposition based upon 
offering access to brands that are unavailable/ hard to find in 
Brazil, at discounted prices. 


THE ROLE

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and organized intern to 
join our fast growing team from mid August. The initial 
position will be part-time for 8 weeks, and we highly consider 
follow-on work. 

This is an unpaid internship position.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Managing Social Media Program- Regularly update the Luxnet 
   blog and our facebook page to provide “Luxgirls” with access 
   to the latest fashion news and trends

• Market Research- Manage a research project to analyze the 
   availability and pricing of 40 leading fashion brands in 
   Brazil

• Marketing Support- Help prepare newsletters, press releases 
   and other marketing materials to be used by our marketing 
   affiliate partners in Brazil

• Customer Support- Help respond to customer queries, package 
   and ship products, and conduct post-sales customer surveys 
   to analyze the customer experience

• Website Support- Support the process of adding new products 
   to the website on a weekly basis and help to manage the 
   purchasing of new inventory


KEY SKILLS

• Experience working within the fashion industry or a strong 
   marketing background

• Demonstrated analytical capabilities

• Given the focus on the Brazilian market, Portuguese skills 
   are very welcome but not necessary


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Be prepared to join a fun and fast paced team.  We work out of 
a small mid-town office and have a flexible approach to working-
 options to work from home as needed, team lunch everyday (paid 
for by us!), happy hour begins at 6pm, etc.
