POSITION TITLE: Senior Account Executive
LOCATION: New York, NY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for selling and managing sales of the Young Men’s line to key accounts. Additionally, the Account Executive is responsible for extensive amount of sales analysis, negotiating, strategic planning, shopping the market for competitive best seller.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE:
Own and Drive Business
- Responsible for achieving comp and net sales targets while managing shipping budgets for each account.
- Market expert of the Marc Ecko business and competition
- Build and nurture account relationships to encourage understanding of the brand in order to embrace the vision strategies.
- Develop seasonal sales strategies, initiatives around key holidays to ensure company objectives are achieved and to also understand the profit margins on key items from sell in thru markdowns.
- Optimize inventory levels by continuously monitoring sell thrus and by-door opportunities.
- Review market share monthly and distribution issues monthly with each account.
- Provide recommendations for reorders in season or trend right injections.
- Drive seasonal markets: communicate Marc Ecko Strategies, initiatives and goals. Ensure alignment with accounts.
- Drive timely order reconciliation to forecast post market.
- Negotiate with accounts where orders are not to strategy.
- Monitor and follow up on marketing and PR initiatives to ensure it supports the overall strategy and contractual agreements.
- Identify and champion communications of product development opportunities to Merchandising and Design.
- Hold monthly best seller meetings to review best sellers of Marc Eckō Cut & Sew and the competition.
Retail Presentations and Training
- Travel quarterly to key markets to support retail execution, training and to build account relationships.
- Own in-store execution: Product assortment, visual merchandising, environment, and staff knowledge.
- Manage and execute seasonal product training for store staff knowledge.
Planning and Analysis
- Own monthly ATS reports.
- Own monthly OTB reports.
- Own monthly reorders to ensure a strong reorder business.
- Own by-door sales and stock.
- Own Market Share recaps.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
· Strong sales background including, negotiation skills, market place knowledge, and knowledge of the men’s market and product trends
· 5+ years of Sales to Department Stores
· Strong computer skills
· Retail math
· Ownership and initiatives
